Howie DiSavino III to Drive for Win-Tron Racing in NASCAR’s Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series

CONCORD, NC — It’s about to get busy for Howie DiSavino, III, in 2020. After several starts with Mooresville, N.C.-based Win-Tron Racing in 2019, the team is announcing DiSavino is signing on to pilot the team’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) entry. DiSavino’s truck series debut will be at Richmond Raceway, his home track, on Saturday, April 18, 2020, as well as, other select NGOTS and ARCA Menards Series races. The deal will also feature two new Virginia-based partners for DiSavino, KEES Travel™ and Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric.

“Everyone at Win-Tron Racing is very excited to have Howie back behind the wheel. From the time he first jumped in the #32 ARCA car at Elko, MN, we could see that Howie is a smart and intelligent driver. He is a quick learner and a respectful young man with a huge future in front of him. We are proud to be a part of that future. Howie is a rising star, and we are truly looking forward to working with him and his partners again!” said Kevin Cywinsky, owner of Win-Tron Racing and former American Speed Association Champion.

Having local partners join on for the season makes DiSavino’s debut even more special, “It feels amazing to show pride in my Virginia partnerships and show racing fans what KEES Travel™ and Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric have to offer. My partners have made my dream a reality, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them.”

“It also means the world to me to be able to make my NASCAR debut in my hometown at Richmond Raceway. I started racing at Southside Speedway and Dominion. Through all of those races, I knew it was my dream to make it to NASCAR. Now it’s starting to sink in. I’m especially thankful for the support of my family. I know I’ll be making them proud,” said DiSavino of his NASCAR opportunity.

On the ARCA front, DiSavino has set a goal of top-10 finishes and sees the truck starts as a way to hone his skills and continue to learn about racing in NASCAR’s higher-level series. He knows that working with a team he already has a relationship with will help him in his transition, “I love the guys at Win-Tron and the way we work together. It will be a great year running with them on the ARCA side and the truck side. Working with PMG and Win-Tron, I have learned so much, and I want to continue to keep learning with them behind me.”

During the off-season, DiSavino has been busy keeping his skills sharp through simulation racing and staying active in the gym to be physically ready for this new level of racing. Yet, he views his biggest work as fostering relationships with new partners, who will be able to experience a new level of exposure and access to a larger group of potential customers.

“I couldn’t be happier with the new partnership with Howie DiSavino, III, and the opportunities surrounding the relationship. There are few things more important to our company than the KEES brand. We feel Howie represents that brand and our values well,” said Jeremy Grogg, RRP, CHA, President of KEES Vacations.

Robert W. Nelson, Owner/CEO of Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric echoed Grogg’s excitement on the new partnership with DiSavino, “When the option to partner with HDIII Racing became available, it was a no-brainer. Anytime I have the opportunity to get my people excited and demonstrate pride in my company and its direction with community involvement, I’m doing it. It’s great to be sharing support for HDIII Racing within other top-notch companies. I’ve known the DiSavino family for 2 decades and hold them in the highest regard. Howie is a shining example of focus and drive. It’s refreshing to see these qualities in a person his age. 2020 is going to be a great year for everyone involved.”

With a seat on a competitive team and dedicated partners, DiSavino is set to make an impact in the 2020 racing season but is keeping his definition of success simple, “A successful season is just to compete with the racers up front and to come home with the car or truck in one piece. I strongly believe we will have a great season with my team, partners and family. I want to focus on getting better and learning, my ultimate measure of success in 2020.”

Before getting behind the wheel of the truck, DiSavino’s first race will be in Win-Tron’s No. 32 ARCA Menards Series entry at Phoenix International Raceway (Avondale, Az.) on March 6.

About Howie DiSavino, III
A pair of free tickets. That’s what started Howie DiSavino’s love for racing at the age of 8. After his dad took him to an Arena Racing show in the Richmond, Virginia area with those tickets, young Howie begged his family for a racecar.

Finally, at age 13, Howie got his wish. He and his family spent a couple years racing the arena circuit before making the jump to full-fledged late models just two years later. Since then, he has grown as a driver and a person, contributing to his race team and his community utilizing racing as an avenue for charitable giving while also building relationships with his partners and supporters.

In 2019, Howie took another step toward his NASCAR dreams, making his ARCA debut with WinTron Racing at Elko Speedway in Minnesota. 2020 looks to be a promising year as this skilled, young driver makes his NASCAR debut in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. Win-Tron Racing puts band back together for ARCA season finale at Kansas Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series rookie Gus Dean (@gusdean) will bookend the ARCA Menards Series season for Win-Tron Racing by competing in Friday night’s ARCA Kansas 150 at Kansas Speedway.

Dean, the Bluffton, S.C. native will make his fourth ARCA start of the year and seek his third ARCA victory in the 20th ARCA Menards Series race the season. Earlier this year, he made starts at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway respectively.

Before his graduation to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, Dean spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons driving the No. 32 entry for Kevin Cywinski’s Mooresville, N.C.-based team where the duo became a weekly threat in ARCA competition with Dean returning Win-Tron Racing to Victory Lane at Elko (Minn.) Speedway last summer.

“I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to run the ARCA race with Win-Tron Racing,” said Dean. “Kevin (Cywinski) and my crew chief Jamie (Jones) have been an instrumental part of my racing career as I’ve progressed and anytime we get the chance to compete in a race together – we have one goal in mind, winning.”

Kansas Speedway is the home of Dean’s Win-Tron Racing debut during the 2016 season and eyes his third ARCA Menards Series victory overall in the season finale.

“Kansas Speedway is such a fast race track, but I enjoy racing there,” added Dean. “We had a super competitive car last October but unfortunately didn’t get the finish we deserved.

“We’re bringing the same car we raced at Charlotte in May and it was fast. I think we have a good opportunity to put ourselves in a position to win the race on Friday night and end the ARCA year on a high note.”

In his most recent ARCA race, Dean finished third – his career-best at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in two starts. In all, it was the 25-year-old’s second top-10 finish of the year on the heels of a sixth-place result at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April.

“We started off the year by contending for the win at Daytona, had good presence at Talladega and we’re back again fighting for the win at Charlotte. Everyone is excited to put the band back together one more time in 2019 and we all look forward to making the best of it.”

Win-Tron Racing partner IceBox Helmet Coolers re-joins the organization to share the spotlight in the team’s 11th race of the year.

The IceBox by AirBox represents an innovative Air-Cooling Solution for personal and confined environment where space, weight and power consumption are critical considerations. Design applications include Aviation, Aerospace and Performance Racing industries.

IceBox incorporates advanced semiconductor component and application technology to create a thermoelectric heat pump that requires no moving parts and a minimal amount of electrical current to effect cooling.

Dean will carry additional support from Baker Distributing Company, CAB Installers and LG Air Conditioning Technologies in his 51st career start. “Without them, I wouldn’t have this chance, and I want to thank them personally with a celebration in Victory Lane. That would be perfect.”

Win-Tron Racing car owner Kevin Cywinski says the team is optimistic about their chances for Friday night’s race – but believes his driver will step up to the plate and deliver a good showing.

“We always look forward to having Gus (Dean) behind the wheel,” sounded Cywinski. “Gus is a talented race car driver and he has shown that time and time again in our Win-Tron Racing ARCA cars. We almost got ourselves a win at Charlotte, so we’re approaching Kansas with some unfinished business.

“I’m confident Jamie (Jones) and Gus will show their potential in practice and hopefully we can put this Win-Tron Racing team back in the winner’s circle in the final race of the season.”

Howie DiSavino III Readies For Second Career ARCA Start at Lucas Oil Raceway

MOORESVILLE, NC (Sept. 25, 2019) — After an eye-opening and thrilling outing at Elko Speedway in July, Howie DiSavino III is climbing back behind the wheel of a Win-Tron Racing Chevrolet this weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The start will be his second in the ARCA Menards Series, both of which will come on a pair of the most difficult short tracks the tour visits.

In July, DiSavino made the jump from late model stock cars to the higher-horsepower, slightly heavier ARCA machines under the guidance of car owner Kevin Cywinski and crew chief Jamie Jones. Elko Speedway was the site of his first national-level start, where he completed each of the 250 laps and captured a top ten finish, a strong accomplishment for any rookie making the jump to a national level series.

“We are really excited to have Howie back in the No. 32 Chevy at LOR,” said car owner Cywinski. “In his ARCA debut at Elko, earlier this year, he brought home an impressive top 10 finish. That was something we were all proud of for him. He has been working hard, getting as much seat time as he can since that race. I expect this to be a very successful event for Howie and the whole Win-Tron Racing team. We have raised our goals and have every expectation of achieving them with him.”

Some of the additional seat time DiSavino has been acquiring came at the unique .686-mile layout at LOR just two weeks ago. Racing a pro late model for Willie Allen Racing, DiSavino started the 100-lap event in third and raced amongst the top five until mechanical issues hampered the effort of the Mass Mutual of Richmond team. Despite the issues, he still recorded a 12th place finish.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing how the ARCA car goes around the track at LOR because it’s so much heavier and has more horsepower than the pro late model does,” DiSavino said in regards to the upcoming race. “We ran good and were up front all race, and I feel like we should have a good race there in the ARCA car. The biggest challenge will be to save tires and to avoid the wall because the groove is up high next to the wall. I’ve never raced anywhere like this, but I’m really looking forward to getting another opportunity to race there with Win-Tron.”

The ARCA race will expose second-time starter DiSavino not only to more power around the flat layout, but also more laps. Unlike his late model race where 100 laps was the scheduled distance, the ARCA Menards Series event will be contested over 200 circuits, with live pit stops, on national television.

Practice for the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 commences at 2pm ET on Saturday, October 5. Qualifying hits the track at 5pm with the green flag scheduled to fly at 8pm ET. MAVtv will carry the race live on their cable and satellite network while additional coverage can be found on the series website at ARCAracing.com.

COLBY HOWARD LOOKS TO STEP BACK IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT SALEM SPEEDWAY IN THE ARCA MENARDS SERIES

CONCORD, NC – This Saturday, Simpsonville, South Carolina’s Colby Howard will make his return to the ARCA Menards Series at Salem Speedway. In just three career ARCA starts, Howard has earned three Top 10 finishes, with an average finish of 9.0 heading into the weekend.

The high banked Indiana short track was the site of Howard’s ARCA Menards Series debut in 2018, where he started and finished in eighth. This time around, the 18-year-old plans on bettering his results with Win-Tron Racing in the No. 32 Project Hope/Yurpal, Inc. Chevrolet.

Howard was quoted saying, “I am really looking forward to returning to Salem. We had a good run in the test on Tuesday, and should have had a Top 5 finish in last year’s race until I made a mistake on pit road. This time around, it should be better, because our car is really solid on old tires, which is critical on Salem’s worn out surface.”

Earlier this season, Colby Howard debuted for team owner Kevin Cywinski and crew chief Jamie Jones at Iowa Speedway. The No. 32 team finished tenth at Iowa, and plan on bringing the same racecar to Salem.

Colby is yet another talented young prospect represented by PMG to make his way up the stock car racing ladder. He cites PMG’s guidance as being a key factor to his successful career.

The ARCA Menards Series heads to Salem Speedway on Saturday, September 14th, for the running of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic 200. Fans can tune into MAVTV at 7:00 PM Eastern Time to see live coverage of the race, or follow along on www.ARCAracing.com for live updates.

Austin Wayne Self returns to ARCA Menards Series at Chicagoland Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – In a collaborative effort between AM Racing and Win-Tron Racing, the two organizations announced today the return of NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) veteran Austin Wayne Self (@AustinWSelf) to the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) for Thursday night’s Bounty 150 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Self, 23, will drive the team’s No. 32 Chevrolet with support from Win-Tron Performance and IceBox Helmet Coolers.

“I’m excited about getting back and racing in the ARCA Menards Series,” said Self the 2014 ARCA Menards Series Rookie of the Year.

“Win-Tron Racing has had some very competitive finishes this year and I know they are going to bring me a fast race car and I look forward to the opportunity to pull double duty this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.”

Self, a native of Austin, Texas last competed in ARCA nearly two years at Road America (Wisc.) where in a second entry for Win-Tron Racing he finished sixth after starting 12th in 2017.

In all, Self in five years of competition in ARCA has 47 career starts with one win, 13 top-five and 31 top-10 finishes. In two starts at Chicagoland, he finished a track-best 12th after starting fourth in 2015.

Win-Tron Racing has run a select schedule in the ARCA Series in 2019 with drivers Gus Dean and AM Racing development driver Cole Glasson.

Self who will compete in Friday night’s Camping World 225 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) race at Chicagoland is hopeful to run more ARCA races this season.

“We’re still looking at the schedule, but I think you’ll see me in or a race or two more after Chicagoland,” added Self. “I know that Kevin (Cywinski, Win-Tron Racing owner) and Jamie (Jones, crew chief) have put together a very competitive car and I look forward to our chance to go out there and contend for my second career ARCA win.”

Cywinski who serves as team manager of Self’s Gander Truck Series team says having Self compete in both races at Chicagoland will undoubtedly prove to be beneficial.

“Austin will do us a great job at Chicagoland,” sounded Cywinski. “The extra seat time will allow Austin to stay focused and bring back some positive feedback to not only the ARCA program but also acquire critical track time that should prove to be beneficial for the Truck Series program this weekend too.”

Gus Dean eyes ARCA win at Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. – On the heels of a solid top-10 finish in his most recent ARCA Menards Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) rookie Gus Dean will take advantage of an off weekend and compete in his third ARCA start of the season in Thursday night’s General Tire 150 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

Dean will eye his third career ARCA victory in the 100-lap and believes the speed his Win-Tron Racing team showed at the series’ open test at the 1.5-mile speedway has them in a good position to be a contender in the seventh race of 2019.

“I’m so appreciative for this opportunity to run the ARCA race at Charlotte,” said Dean. “It wasn’t on my schedule, but things fell into place to make it happen and I’m extremely thankful. Jamie (Jones, crew chief) wants to go there and win and so do I. I believe we’ll have the car to do it on Thursday night.”

Dean, a native of Bluffton, S.C. made a splash in his Charlotte ARCA debut last May qualifying on the outside pole and contended for a strong finish before engine problems set in late in the race with Dean soldiering to a 14th place effort.

“Charlotte is a very fast place,” added Dean. “I like the track. It’s pretty cool. It’s important to make sure you get the car rotating through the corners and through the bumps. It’s a place where you need to carry the speed off the corner too.

“Even though our track time was limited during the test, I still feel like we are in a good place coming back for the race and look forward to Thursday night.”

Longtime Dean supporter CAB Installers will serve as the co-primary marketing partner for the May   23rd race, while Win-Tron Racing partner IceBox Helmet Coolers joins the organization to share the spotlight in the team’s third race of the year.

“I can’t thank CAB Installers and IceBox by AirBox for making Charlotte possible,” added Dean. “Without them, I would haven’t this chance and I want to thank them personally with a celebration in Victory Lane. That would be perfect.”

Win-Tron Racing car owner Kevin Cywinski says the team is optimistic about their chances for Thursday night’s race – but believes his driver will step up to the plate and deliver a good showing.

“We should be pretty good,” said Cywinski. “Gus knows how to wheel his way around Charlotte and hopefully that will play into our hands. We had a setback that kept us off the track for most of the test a couple weeks ago, but I’m confident Jamie (Jones) and Gus will show their potential in practice and hopefully we can put this Win-Tron Racing team back in the winner’s circle.”

Gus Dean returns to ARCA competition at Talladega Superspeedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGTOS) rookie Gus Dean (@gusdean) will take advantage of an off weekend and return to the ARCA Menards Series to compete in Friday afternoon’s General Tire 200 at the famed Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

The 2.66-mile superspeedway will always be a special race track for the Bluffton, S.C. Three years ago, Dean scored his first career ARCA victory in a breathtaking finish in then a one-race deal for Mason Mitchell Motorsports. The victory in Dean’s second career ARCA start enticed his marketing partner at the time to increase their relationship with Dean which included two full-time seasons of ARCA competition with Win-Tron Racing.

Returning to Talladega for the fourth time in his career, Dean hopes to rekindle the jubilation of 2016 and lead Win-Tron Racing, a former ARCA winner at Talladega back to Victory Lane on Friday afternoon.

“Very excited to come back to race in the ARCA Menard Series and especially at Talladega Superspeedway,” said Dean. “The victory in 2016 will be something I’ll never forget and is very important to me – but I’m ready to make new memories on Friday with Win-Tron Racing.”

Dean believes he’ll have an opportunity to contend for his third career ARCA Menards Series victory because of the work of his crew chief Jamie Jones who has been methodically fine-tuning his No. 32 Chevrolet Camaro for Dean’s 49th career start.

The Mooresville, N.C.-based team has repaired Dean’s No. 32 Chevrolet that led 29 laps in the season-opening race at Daytona before being collected in a late-race accident while challenging for the win. Dean, 24, feels his race car will be just as fast if not faster next weekend.

“I can’t begin to thank Jamie (Jones), Kevin (Cywinski, car owner) and the guys for their work on our speedway car,” added Dean. “Jamie has worked very hard to repair the car from Daytona. It was one of the best speedway cars I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, we just didn’t have a finish to show that.

“I’m confident we can go to Talladega and backup our Daytona performance and once again showcase the team’s strength. We just need a little superspeedway luck.”

Longtime Dean supporter CAB Installers will serve as the co-primary marketing partner for the Apr.  26 race, while Nu-Calgon joins the organization to share the spotlight in the team’s second race of the year.

Nu-Calgon, formerly part of Calgon Corporation and Calgon Vestal Laboratories, has been a leader in the HVACR aftermarket for the past 70 years. It is strategically headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, where it distributes its products from a 100,000 square-foot warehouse.

Nu-Calgon markets and distributes a complete line of specialty chemical products for the HVACR aftermarket. These include coil cleaners, leak sealants, air purifiers and refrigeration oils, as well as products for water treatment, ice machine maintenance, and other specialty applications.

These products are marketed to air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and plumbing wholesalers, as well as food service | restaurant suppliers and OEMs.

“I can’t thank CAB Installers and Nu-Calgon for making Talladega possible,” added Dean. “Without them, I would haven’t this chance and I want to thank them personally with a celebration in Victory Lane. That would be perfect.”

Win-Tron Racing car owner Kevin Cywinski says the team has been determined since the Daytona finish to rebuild their piece and come back to Talladega and finish what they started during Speedweeks 2019.

“Gus drove the best restrictor plate I’ve ever seen him drive in February,” said Cywinski. “He did everything right – just was at the right place at the wrong time a couple laps from the finish. We’ve repaired the car and should be pretty strong on Friday.

“Superspeedway racing is always pretty tense, but Gus has a craft for it. With the teamwork of him, Jamie and our spotter Tyler Green – I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Dean will carry the Nu-Calgon onboard camera for Friday afternoon’s race – providing an exclusive view of the action from inside his automobile.

In addition to Nu-Calgon and CAB Installers, Baker Distributing Co. and LG Air Conditioning Technologies will serve as an associate marketing partner for the anticipated thriller.

In Dean’s three previous ARCA starts, he has one win, one top-five and two top-10 finishes. In 2018, he finished 12th after having to pit for fuel in ARCA overtime.

Triple opportunity for Gus Dean begins with ARCA opener at Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Speedweeks 2019 will be insanely busy for Gus Dean (@gusdean) and he doesn’t mind one bit.

Dean, the Bluffton, S.C.-native will not only compete in Saturday afternoon’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season-opener, but also race in a slew of Super Late Model races at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway and cap off his Speedweeks by making his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) debut at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 15 for Young’s Motorsports.

Getting to Victory Lane will be no easy chore for the 24-year-old Dean, but the Win-Tron Racing driver has set his sights on conquering Daytona’s 2.5-mile speedway start to finish this weekend.

“I can’t wait to get to Florida,” said Dean who will pilot the No. 32 CAB Installers | Baker Distributing Co. Chevrolet in his 48th career ARCA start.

“This year will be the busiest I’ve ever been for Speedweeks, but I genuinely feel like I have a good opportunity to contend for the win in not only my ARCA car, but my Super Late Model and next Friday night in my Truck debut.”

With his fourth ARCA start at the “World Center of Racing” on deck, Dean is hoping his experience will pay off in the 80-lap race, but most of all, he is hoping to see the checkered flag.

In his three previous outings at the 2.5-mile speedway, Dean has often found himself at the front of the field but collected in multi-car accidents. Last year, the South Carolinian was fifth coming to the initial white flag lap, but chaos erupted on the backstretch with Dean involved and knocked out of contention.

This year, Dean is hoping his luck has changed.

“I feel like I still have something to prove at Daytona,” Dean added. “I’ve had some very fast cars, but we’ve always ended up in the garage before its all said and done. I hope I’ve paid my dues and I can see the checkered flag and hopefully get the opportunity to hoist the trophy.”

Dean and crew chief Jamie Jones participated in the two-day open ARCA test at Daytona in January and left the track extremely confident in their race car.

“I have to give a lot of credit to Jamie, Kevin (Cywinski, team owner) and all the guys on this Win-Tron Racing team,” sounded Dean. “This was our Talladega car from last year and Jamie kept tweaking on it during the off-season and it was a rocket ship during the test.

“It had a lot of speed in single-car runs and was sporty in the draft. Saturday’s race is going to come down to luck. I feel like I’ll be one of the most experienced drivers in the race and hope that knowledge will be beneficial for me. I don’t know what our plan of attack will be for the race.

“We’ll see where we qualify and go from there.”

Longtime Dean supporter CAB Installers will serve as the primary marketing partner for Saturday’s ARCA race, while Baker Distributing returns to Daytona with Dean in associate role.

Dean’s No. 32 Chevrolet will also sport the logo of LG Air Conditioning Technologies, his new partner in his full-season Truck Series effort at Young’s Motorsports.

“I feel very fortunate to have so much support for Daytona and the season,” offered Dean. “In a time where sponsorship is still tough in Motorsports, I feel blessed and grateful to have our car covered. The last time we had CAB Installers on our race car – we ended up in Victory Lane at Talladega in 2016, maybe we can pull off that magic again on Saturday.”

Win-Tron Racing car owner Kevin Cywinski says the team had the opportunity to field a second car for Dean this weekend – but chose to focus solely on Dean’s No. 32 CAB Installers | Baker Distributing Co. Chevrolet in hopes of propelling Dean to his third career ARCA victory.

“We’re pretty pumped about the piece we’re bringing for Gus this weekend,” said Cywinski. “It’s a good car and we’ve worked hard and tirelessly to make sure it’s a car we feel like Gus can win with.

“Even though Gus isn’t running a full season in ARCA this year, we really want to make sure any opportunities he gets to race – he feels like he has the opportunity to go out there and win. We feel like we can accomplish that on Saturday.”

Dean will carry the General Tire onboard camera for Saturday afternoon’s race – providing an exclusive view of the action from inside his automobile.
