April 11, 2016 (Charlotte, N.C.) - Shane Lee and the No.32 LeeBoy team raced inside the top-10 before a late race green flag pit-stop resulted in lost track position and a 16th place finish in the second annual Music City 200. Lee making his second ARCA Racing Series start and first at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway used every lap during the dual forty-five minute practice sessions to dial in the LeeBoy Toyota Camry.
Led by crew chief Todd Myers, Lee and the No.32 LeeBoy team turned a 19.614 which posted them sixth fastest during the afternoon's dual forty-five minute practice sessions. Lee found some more speed during qualifying and turned in the 11th fastest time with a 19.491 at 110.082 miles per hour. "Nashville (Fairgrounds) is unique to say the least, Todd and all the guys have worked hard to fine tune on the car now we have 200 laps to get it done" said Lee following his 11th place qualifying effort.
When the green flag dropped Lee went into conservation mode saving his tires by rolling the throttle, knowing this would pay major dividends later in the run. The first caution came out at lap 36 for fluid on the track, Lee would stay out and protect his track position. The green flag flew for the second time and Lee took advantage of the restart before going back into conservation mode. Myers brought Lee down pit road for two tires, fuel, and a chassis adjustment during the second caution period at lap 83. Lee would restart 14th and be back inside the top-10 by lap 100 when the third caution flag came out. A short twenty lap run before the fourth caution period at lap 115, when the field received the green at lap 122 Lee knew he had to maintain his tires for the final 78 laps.
Lee would come down pit road under green at lap 191 as he felt if he had burned off the right front, after four tires and a full tank of fuel Lee pulled back onto the speedway and was able to pick up two positions resulting in a 16th place finish in his second ARCA Racing Series start.
From the Driver's Seat with Shane Lee... "There is one thing they can say, we never give up, everyone was worked hard all day long and continued making strides to get better. This was my first time working with Todd (Myers) and knowing that Kevin (Cywinski) and the entire WinTron Racing team has my best interest in mind keep me reassured every time we hit the tack. I know that we will continue working in the shop be just that much better next time we hit the track."
